On Saturday, June 20th, Sturgis Outdoors partnered with the Black Hills Volksmarch Association to host the Sturgis Volksmarch.
Sturgis Outdoors leaned into America’s 250th birthday this year, featuring the Fort Meade Trail with informational stands speckled throughout the first portion of the route, each highlighting a piece of Fort Meade’s history.
Hikers could choose between a 5k and 10k option, with both lengths starting and ending on the Fort Meade Trail. Each route also gave hikers a chance to walk a stretch of the Centennial Trail and a small portion of the Sturgis Trail System.
