If you’re out at the Thunderdome during the events you’ll notice a pickup with a different look. It’s the Ford Outlaw, built for a raffle to benefit Cruise For A Cause. Dan Neve started with a 2025 Ford F-150XL. But I’m getting ahead of things. “In 2010 my wife and mother were diagnosed with cancer a month apart, and I wanted to raise some money for cancer research and do it one year and now here we are 16 years later,” he said. After three years he and his wife decided they wanted to start their own nonprofit to assure money went for research. Anyhoo, back to the pickup: “We did everything to it: lowering the suspension, side exhaust, supercharging the engine to 700 horsepower, six piston front brakes and custom wheels. The interior is custom as are the ground effects like the spoilers and the grill. Raffle tickets are available for purchase, at Cruise 4 a Cause.org, at the booth at Thunderdome or on Main Street during the show and shine.
