The Sturgis City Council sped through the agenda at its June 1 meeting and started with resolutions governing Music On Main.
Deputy Finance Officer Robin Korth told the council there were some amendments relative to the event including street closures for Battle of the Bands so food trucks could take advantage of the crowds. Additionally the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department wanted to close Main to Third Street to have kid-related events in June, July and September. The organizers wanted a couple extra days in the resolution in case of bad weather. Both resolutions passed.
