The 2026 Mustang Rally test and tune was taking place out at the Thunderdome on Highway 34, and Mustang owners were putting their cars through the paces. Tiffany James has been helping out with the Rally for four years now. “Drivers pay a fee and we let them run as many times as they are able all day long,” she said. Qualifying is Friday and the women youth and outlaw drivers will qualify will run in the morning and in the afternoon U-Drag barrel racing and the drifters. Some cars are tuned for autocross with suspension, tires and the like to perform better. Others are just your basic street version. “All ages participate in the auto cross from 17 to 70 or 80. People are coming from all over to try their hand at the event and see how they do,” said James Of course the show and shine is Saturday on Main Street and Sunday is the street class and then the finals.
