By Brandon Bennett STURGIS— The annual Mayor’s Ride the first weekend of the rally is a chance to raise a little money and get riders out of town to enjoy some Black Hills. Mayor Rod Bradley has been riding for years but now he’s leading the pack. The ride will take them to Spearfish Canyon over to Nemo then down Vanocker Canyon and back to the city park. “Before we always ended up in Custer State Park but this makes more sense logistically,” said Bradley. What does our mayor like about riding? “You feel free, the wind, the scenery, all the elements, it’s just fun. The camaraderie, it’s good.” The money raised will go to local charities and Bradley said a committee will be formed to decide how to best utilize the funds.
